On Friday we received an email request from Jo Johnstone for a price for 40 metres of net lighting. What’s unusual about that I hear you cry!?!
Well, on asking where the lights were required, we were told they were needed for an event in Timaru, New Zealand!
Now Party Lights will NEVER turn down any work just because of location. However, in order to make it worth our while, we do have to charge reasonable expenses if the location is outside of our normal areas of work. This is the email that we sent back to Jo:
“Hi Jo
Thanks for your enquiry. The cost for this including return flights for 2, hire of a BMW 5 series estate, 14 nights accomodation in various 5 star hotels, participation in at least 6 extreme sports, meals, drinks & travel insurance will be £7899, zero vat. If the date of the event is in the winter the cost will increase by £1250 to take account of my delight in being able to ski in NZ. Oh & that includes the net lighting by the way!
I’m sure you will agree that this is a very competitive price & look forward to hearing back from you soon.
